The best $300 I ever spent
After spending time in Cambodia we realized that many people did not have safe drinking water. And many people were walking miles every day to get water. This job often falls to young girls and prevents them from attending school.
Long story short---We began building wells!!
For $300 a well can be built that will often serve several families providing drinking water and water for irrigation.
We are happy to say that a number of people have joined us in our efforts including a local church.
Thank you to all who have contributed and who will in the future.
I big thank you to my brothers and sister who donated a well to be build in honor of my mother. Several other wells have also been built as memorials

Returning to Cambodia in early 2019 we were able to visit some of the wells that had been built. It is with a grateful heart that I thank all of those who have contributed to the wells dug in recent years.
Sewing Machines: An opportunity for a better life through a home occupation. A combination of loans to the recipients and gifts for the project have provided machines for several women in Cambodia. The gifts included tip money collected by an English cheesecake maker we met on a trip to Cambodia and members of our local weaving guild. In early 2019 I spent time with these women teaching one additional sewing techniques. I encourage everyone to do something for someone somewhere. With a little effort over a period of time, you can make a difference. And you can make some wonderful friends!
